What Does Sustainable Personal Performance Look Like?
Updated: Nov 8
The Threat >>
One of the key elements to high performance is consistency over time, which, when not managed effectively, leads to below-average and burnout, if you're lucky..
From my experience, things like work, family and home and social commitments are the most common "threats" to consistent personal performance.
The Opportunity >>
What helps you feel energised throughout your day?
What sharpens your thinking?
What elevates your mood and level of contribution?
What sucks your enthusiasm and drains your motivation?
The Process >>
Choose 2-3 short acitvities, performed together or throughout the day
(ideally when you can be alone).
Dedicate 1 activity each to (elevate) your mental, physical and emotional state (reading, watching/listening to something educational, journaling, exercise, art or absolutely whatever works and gets the best out of you).
Anchor these activities to existing habits to facilitate the integration.

The Metrics >>
Choose 1 activity you're going to start with and schedule it. Set a reminder, alarm and tell your partner or friend for accountability.
Remember why you are doing this and imagine how you're going to feel as a result of creating a performance system. Commit to this process for 2 weeks before adding the next activity.
When you learn to enjoy and look forward to these, you will have created the foundation of a personal performance system you won't be able to live without.
Life is about to get a whole lot better.
To your best week,
Stefano
